The Mitel 612dt DECT Phone is the entry-level model in the Mitel SIP-DECT family. The 612dt handset is made from plastics protected with a silver-based coating from BioCote Limited, which inhibits the growth of certain viruses and bacteria on telephone surfaces by up to 99.9%*. Ideal for users at shared workstations.

Antimicrobial test methods:

The plastic surfaces of the DECT phone, desktop charger and belt clip are protected by a coating containing a BioCote compound, which has been shown to inhibit the growth of certain viruses and bacteria on the phone surfaces by up to 99.9%*, as demonstrated by independent laboratory tests in accordance with the following ISO standards:

  • ISO 22196-2011 - measurement of antibacterial activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces
  • ISO 21702-2019 - measurement of antiviral activity on plastics and other non-porous surfaces tested
