Description

ALCATEL-LUCENT ENTERPRISE 8378 DECT IP-xBS for external antenna
3BN67366AA

Alcatel-Lucent 8378 DECT IP-xBS provides a robust infrastructure for Digital Enhanced Cordless Telecommunications (DECT) in buildings and outdoor areas, helping to ensure employee mobility wherever it is needed. The unique radio tuning functionality and over-the-air synchronisation provide good network coverage and excellent voice quality, even in challenging areas.
In combination with Alcatel-Lucent DECT telephones, the IP-xBS base stations provide professional communication features (e.g. dial by name and management of multiple lines) delivered via ALE communication servers.
The 8378 IP-xBS solution offers cost-effective operation for businesses of all sizes. Small branch offices, SMEs and large enterprises with multiple sites and networked communication servers all benefit from high voice quality and ease of use. The base stations use the IP network for voice transmission and are centrally managed by the communication servers, without requiring corresponding modifications to the IP network.

  • Support for AGAP and GAP protocols
Professional communication with AGAP, including twinset with desk phone, management of multiple lines and dial by name.
  • Integrated centralised management via IP with ALE communication servers
Cost-effective operation with 100% IP or virtualised communication servers, without the need for IP multicast and additional servers or gateways.
  • Radio tuning functionality per base station and over-the-air synchronisation
DECT users can also be reached in challenging areas, such as stairwells, U-shaped buildings, production facilities, warehouses and on ships.
  • Handover and roaming with Alcatel-Lucent TDM DECT base stations
TDM investments are preserved, while IP base stations provide a fast ROI for all-IP buildings and branch offices.
